DEVELOPMENT PLAN / EVIDENCE STATUS

Progress that can be evidenced.

BAM has not completed an industrial pilot. These are proposed milestones, not claims of progress already achieved.

PROPOSED PILOT / REUSABLE ARCHITECTURAL MOULD TOOLING

Four milestones.
Four decisions.

01 / DEFINE

A customer-backed brief

Agree one component geometry, casting material, quantity and acceptance tests with a potential customer.

Not yet evidenced
02 / PREPARE

A costed technical plan

Confirm qualified contributors, equipment access, trial costs, risks and conventional comparator quotations.

Not yet evidenced
03 / TEST

A documented prototype trial

Produce and inspect trial tooling and sample casts. Record tool life, finish, accuracy, time and total costs.

Not started
04 / DECIDE

A commercial go / no-go

Review customer acceptance and delivered economics. Continue, change the scope or stop based on the evidence.

Dependent on trial results

FUNDING PREPARATION

A budget tied
to deliverables.

Potential funding would support a defined validation project, rather than an uncosted equipment purchase.

  • Customer discovery and conventional process quotations.
  • Tooling design, equipment access and trial materials.
  • Qualified technical work and independent inspection.
  • Documented economics, skills development and final review.

No funding amount, award, investor commitment or loan approval is confirmed. Grants, investment and lending would each require their own eligibility, terms and risk assessment.

BEFORE A FUNDING SUBMISSION

What the evidence pack must contain.

01

Identity & ownership

Confirmed applicant entity, responsible team, contact details and applicable programme eligibility.

02

Plan & financial case

Supplier quotations, milestone budget, procurement approach, comparator economics and delivery risks.

03

Outcomes & measurement

Specific product tests, customer evidence and a justified method for measuring skills, jobs or environmental outcomes.

Help define the pilot.

Technical and research collaborators can review the proposed scope and discuss an appropriate role.
